1.BEFORE YOU CHOOSE GOD YOU MUST BE DRAWN TO GOD
This is called conviction. Not just acknowledging you have sinned but be convinced of sin in your life and it's punishment.
"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not" - Ecclesiastes 7:20

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"- Romans 3:23
"The wicked shall be turned into hell" - Psalm 9:17a
"For the wages of sin is death:" - Romans 6:23a
"and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death" - Revelation 20:14
2.BEFORE YOU CHOOSE GOD YOU MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS
Be ready to turn from your sinful ways and turn to the Lord and His ways...
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" - Acts 3:19
"And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel" - Mark 1:15
"Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins," - Acts 2:38
3.BEFORE YOU CHOSE GOD YOUR SINS MUST BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY
Your sin is what stands in the way separating you from God and Heaven.
"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
"For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of Go d in Him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
4.NOW YOU ARE IN A POSITION TO CHOOSE GOD
By faith, you can call on the name of the Lord for Salvation and forgiveness
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - Romans 10:9-10
"For whosoever shall upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13
THROUGH PRAYER YOU CAN CHOOSE THE LORD TODAY.
PRAY AND BELIEVE LIKE THIS:
"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, and I deserve to go to hell, but I believe Jesus died on the cross for me and that He is my only hope for Heaven. I ask you now Jesus to come into my life, save me, take my sins away, change my life, and take me to Heaven when I die, Amen.
